FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Hold down the Ctrl button while hitting “F” to search this page for a topic
- Page Readability: I find the type on the web page to be too small.
- On a desktop or laptop computer, hold down the CTRL button while hitting the + sign to enlarge the page. This also works on the QDATA reports. Conversely, hold CTRL down while hitting the – sign to reduce the page size.
- On a smartphone or tablet, use your fingers to expand the page as you would a photo.
- Business Hours: What times of day can I order reports?
- The QDATA system is available for use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with occasional down time for maintenance. If the system is down, a notice will appear informing users of that fact.
- Browsers: What program should I use to open my records files?
- All commonly used internet browsers work for the QDATA web site, including smartphone & tablet browsers.
- Events: What events does QDATA keep results on?
- All disciplines covering more than 300 horse show organizations. A list of events recorded in the QDATA database can be found at this link: Event Tracker
-
QDATA vs “Total of Below” Earnings: Why is the “Total of Below” a different figure from the “QDATA TOTAL EARNINGS?”First: NCHA weekend shows are not detailed line by line on QDATA reports, but the earnings from those shows ARE included in the “TOTAL QDATA EARNINGS” (current to the NCHA weekend money update listed on the Report Order page).Second: QDATA has received total earnings from all AQHA alliances which may exceed the total earnings of the events listed on the horse’s report.Bottom line: the TOTAL QDATA EARNINGS should be considered the horse’s earnings grand total.
- NCHA Performers: Shows are “missing” on my cutting horse.
- NCHA weekend shows are not listed on horses’ performance records in the QDATA Database. However, the NCHA weekend money IS included in the RGP total earnings, current to the date listed on the Report Order Page of www.robinglennpedigrees.com.
- All other events list every show the horse competed in. The omission of weekend shows only applies to NCHA performers.
- Abbreviations: What if I don’t know what an abbreviation means?
- A table translating the abbreviations in the QDATA database can be found at this link: Abbreviations in Database
- “Slow” Reports: My report is stuck “In Que.”
- Large reports, for instance an all-foals report on a prolific stallion such as Invitation Only or a Four-Generation report on a leading broodmare such as Royal Blue Boon, can take up to 30 minutes to build, depending on site traffic volume and your internet connection.
- However, if you suspect the system is having a problem, please feel free to call QDATA at 405-262-3244 or email support@robinglenn.com
- Downloading Large Reports: I ordered a large report and I can’t get it to download.
- Your Internet Provider may have imposed a file size download restriction on your account. If this is the case and the report has exceeded that size limit, you will not be able to download the report using that ISP. Please contact QDATA and we will ensure that you receive your report.
- Copyright Information: What are my rights concerning QDATA reports once I have purchased them? I see the information is copyrighted.
- You can post the actual QDATA report on your website and use the information for all promotions concerning that horse. You cannot legally publish the report as your own nor resell the data. The QDATA logo, copyright notice and disclaimer must be visible anytime you use the actual report on the web or in an ad.
- Race Horses: Does the QDATA database contain any race horse information?
- The QDATA database records year-end leading sire and dam stats for race horses. AQHA race records are included on all QDATA reports. However this is a performance horse database and for race horse information, we recommend the reports at www.EquineLine.com.
- Saving Files: How do I store my reports to my hard disk?
- On a desktop or laptop computer, open the file, click inside the file, choose “Save as,” choose the folder on your computer that you want to save the file to, and click “Save.”
- On a phone or tablet, use normal file saving methods, or copy and paste the link in an email to yourself for saving to your computer’s hard disk later.
- Separating Earnings: Can the QDATA system separate out events; for example, produce a record limited to reining horses only?
- Not at this time. All activities are combined into one record on each horse, with one total earnings figure.
- APHA Notation: What does “CHECK APHA PRODUCE” on an QDATA report mean?
- That the mare has performing APHA foals. APHA records are free to APHA members at www.APHA.com.
- “Dam of Non-Quarter Horse” Notation: What does “DAM OF [HORSE NAME]” on an QDATA report mean?
- This notifies users that the mare has non-AQHA foals in the QDATA Database.
- Double-Registered Horses: Does QDATA have every double-registered AQHA/APHA horse documented?
- No. QDATA documents double-registered horses as they are discovered. QDATA does not guarantee that every double-registered horse is documented in its database, nor that every dam of a performing paint is documented.
- Archival and Foreign Information: Some of the QDATA performance lines don’t look quite complete. Why is that?
- Older horses may have limited data and (as seen most often), the money was not available for documentation. Foreign data may also be limited.
- Sire Records: Does an QDATA sire record show every foal by a stallion?
- Sire reports on the QDATA Online System only list performing foals.
- Dam Records: Does an QDATA dam record show every foal out of the mare?
- All AQHA foals, shown or unshown, will appear on a D81C Dam’s Produce Report and in the first dam of all the #85C Four Generation Dam Reports..
- Unshown QDATA Entries: Why are unshown horses in the QDATA database?
- All horses registered by the National DNA Registry that have been furnished to QDATA appear in the QDATA database, shown or unshown. Cross-references (records letting a user know that a mare has produced a non-AQHA performer, or that a horse is double registered) may also be unshown.
- Failure to find Horse: I know the horse I requested was shown. Why doesn’t the QDATA system have that record?
- If the horse was shown under a different name or spelling from what you entered, or you have typo’d the horse’s name, the system won’t find it. Otherwise, your horse may have been shown in an event that QDATA was unable to obtain results for. Also, QDATA can only furnish points and awards from one breed association: the American Quarter Horse Association.
- Errors: I think I found a mistake on a report.
- QDATA, Inc. is not responsible for errors in its data and makes no warranty, either expressed or implied, as to the accuracy of the information provided. Each purchaser/user accepts this information under these conditions. However, we would appreciate being informed of the error and will send you a corrected report free.
